The client needed a high performance compute infrastructure to help identify, prosecute, and prevent high frequency trading fraud.
SOLUTION
Designed and delivered an AWS-based high performance compute platform which migrated both legacy and existing applications to a highly scalable and elastic infrastructure. Provided analytics and data science capabilities to accelerate the analysis and detection of potential violations and improve event forensics.
IMPACT
Significantly reduced time to deploy critical infrastructure (minutes versus months), eliminated on-premises data center footprints (estimated 5 year savings over $10 million), and provided an advanced financial fraud threat analytics capability to support not only identification of high frequency trade fraud, but also money laundering, stock market fraud, and terrorism financing.
INTELLIGENCE CLIENT
CLIENT CHALLENGE
The client sought an advanced analytics solution to capture and mine large quantities of multi-agency, multi-source intelligence data while providing intelligence community analysts a commercial quality search platform.
SOLUTION
Leveraged an agile approach to integrate the multi-source search platform into an intelligence community’s high side cloud/data environment with commercial big data analytics and leading recommender capabilities. Security team worked with multi-agency Security Controls Assessors throughout the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process to rapidly achieve Authority to Operate (ATO).
IMPACT
Successfully delivered an advanced data analytics tool and a secure messaging system – both receiving the highest client/user ratings – on a high side network, including all releases with ATO on or ahead of schedule.
